After the busiest and most fulfilling year of my life behind me (graduating with my bachelors, getting married, etc) I am now looking forward to a new season in my life. I feel that I’ll always be in transition if I’m following God closely, so I do my best to expect change as much as that is possible.
With that said, this week I put in my official resignation with my current employer Pursuant, where I’ve worked for the past 2 years. It is a hard thing to deal with in some ways, because now I have been at Pursuant longer than probably half of the company. But it was time for a change.
I want to express that Pursuant has been a great company, who saw potential in me early on, and has done a great job of providing for my wife and I. I look back on my time there blessed and thankful for the last 2 years.
Looking forward, my new job is with Ajilon, a technology staffing and services company. I’ll be able to gain a lot of valuable sales experience, public speaking experience, and networking experience. So these are all a plus.
At the place in life that I am in, I always look forward to the man I want to be, and try to figure out how I get from here to there. I want to be….
A man known for his generosity, compassion, love for others, work ethic, and undeniable love of Christ.
How does this job change relate?
I want to be a polished speaker and advocate for anything that breaks the heart of God. Being able to speak on behalf of those who can’t speak for themselves.
I want to work hard and earn a lot of money…. so that I can be generous. Check out 2 Cor 8 & 9 for my motivation.
With this said, I believe that God can use this new job to bring me one step closer to the man I want to be.
Now all I have to do is actually do it.
Dude, I’m so pumped for you! Though it’ll be a blow to not have you stroll over to the ol’ Web Services corner every day. As great as Pursuant has been for you, it seems the ideal time for you to step out into something that you are more passionate about and builds those skills that you really want to cultivate.
I can’t wait to hear about the new job, as you’re driving me down the street in your solid gold Cadillac, throwing hundred dollar bills to the homeless vagabonds we pass.
Godspeed, my friend!
Bwahaha, I had an awesome image in my head at the end. I’m sure i’d be a lil more choosey with where I give my hundred dollar bills, but you definitely caught the vision!
I love you and the web services team. And i’ll be around, cuz we’re friends….. and my wife still works for Pursuant. (minor detail) haha.
